As we begin a new Guild year, we can proudly celebrate Outreach’s achievements for 2024/2025. Together, we distributed 106 quilts and 56 pillowcases to Muskoka facilities in need. It’s all thanks to our very generous members!
Outreach thrives because of the many ways our members contribute. Some donate fabrics and supplies, while others spend countless hours and energy to creating these beautiful quilts. Many bring us their completed quilts, while others enjoy working with our kits and patterns at their own pace. For members looking to practice and grow their quilting skills, we provide pieced tops along with batting and backing, that can be taken home to quilt and bind.
We are also fortunate to have several long-arm quilters in our Guild who freely donate their time and expertise, helping us finish quilts with a professional touch. Their generosity – along with the efforts of every single member – makes Outreach such a success.
Together we make comfort quilts for:
- women and children living in shelters.
- baby quilts for single new mothers
- wheelchair and lap quilts for our long-term care homes
- lap quilts for our hospital oncology units.
- cancer support group (Enliven Cancer Care of Muskoka)
- Andy’s House, Hospice Muskoka
