Outreach

As we begin a new Guild year, we can proudly celebrate our Outreach achievements from the past year.  I am very pleased to report that, from September 2025 through April 2026, we were able to supply 10 of our organizations with an incredible 89 quilts and 40 pillowcases injust eight months!

Every quilt begins with the generosity of a Guild member and together, their time, talent and creativity brings comfort to people in our community.

Outreach is successful because of the many ways our members contribute.  Some donate fabrics or their pieced quilt tops; others bring us their completed quilts; while some enjoy working with our kits and patterns at their own pace.  We also have members who like to finish a quilt using the batting, backing and binding we provide.

We are especially fortunate to have several long-arm quilters in our Guild who generously donate their time and expertise, helping us finish the larger quilts with a beautiful, professional touch.

Together, we create comfort quilts for:

▪ Women and children living in shelters
▪ Baby quilts for single mothers
▪ Wheelchair and lap quilts for long-term care homes
▪ Lap quilts for hospital oncology units
▪ Enliven Cancer Care Muskoka
▪ Andy’s House, Hospice Muskoka
