Happy New Year.  During this meeting we saw examples of last year's Block of the Month completed quilts and sign-ups were taking place for the March workshop, Slice and Dice Nines 2.  Some members brought in their completed Lone Star quilts that they made in Patti Carey's workshop.  As well, of course, we all enjoyed seeing the quilts that our members brought to display.  Our programme for the afternoon was a series of 4 demonstrations by members.  Sylvia Bouchard showed us how she frames her small art pieces, Sue Chinn demonstrated the correct way to prepare a quilt for quilting as well as hints on perfect mitred borders, Joanne Kourtz demonstrated her new Sashiko sewing machine and Sharon Veitch took us back to our roots in hand quilting.
