| On November 13, 2008, we were pleased to welcome Janet Rice-Bredin to our meeting. Janet is a quilt artist with particular interest in botanical subjects. Her trunk show followed her quilting journey through different styles and techniques ending with examples of her current fused and machine appliqued floral wall hangings. Following are some images from Janet's trunk show. Click on an image to see a larger version. The Quilt Art group organized at Pot Luck Dinner held at James St. Place on the evening of November 13, following Janet's trunk show. Having a casual get-together after the Guild meeting for a guest speaker/instructor is an excellent way of getting to know the teacher better and also to make her feel welcome. Of course, as usual there is lots of laughter, food, including desserts, and this time there were small portions of wine served in special unbreakable "glasses". Dinner was followed by Show and Tell. Following are images from our evening. Click on an image to see a larger version.
