In 2006, our guild began making fabric postcards to sell for the benefit of the Chrysalis Transitional Housing Facility in Huntsville.  We started by displaying our postcards at guild meetings and selling to members.  Now, the postcards are being displayed and sold at the Shutterbug Gallery in Huntsville.

In May 2007, CTV came to our meeting at Rowanwood and filmed an interview with Sylvia who, along with Joanne, has been instrumental in promoting the postcard programme.  Here are some photos from that session.  Click on an image for a larger view.

A ceremony was held in Huntsville for the official opening of the Chrysalis Transitional Housing Facility.  Sylvia, Joanne, Wendy and Carol attended.  Our postcards were on display at this ceremony also.  Here are some photos from the official opening ceremony.  Click on an image for a larger view.

A Postcard Workshop was held in Dorset on October 18, 2007.  There were demonstrations of various techniques and supplies galore for everyone to use.  Many postcards were completed that day but many more went home to be finished.  Everyone left with heads full of ideas to try.
