For those who were not at the last meeting on Sept. 24/09, we have a new name! There was a general discussion before voting and then a tie. So on the second vote...we had a good majority. I think it defines us.

Quilt Artists of Muskoka


There is no official meeting in October. The next meeting is November 26th at 10 am at James St Place. We will present our pieces for the word "flight". We will also have a discussion on different kinds of silk and painting silk. So members you have any silk remenants, ties, scarves, we could use them. Any guild member is welcome to join the group.
We have been offered working space at Gateway Fireworks from 10-4 on October 14th, November 18th and Dec 16th.

This will be at a cost of $8 a quilter per day. Any required materials will be extra. We hope to try new techniques and do small demos, sew and create for the day. Any member of the guild is welcome to join us on these days.

Please note the word "flight". I am unsure if we agreed on a size of 12 by 12...I know some people like that size and if we are doing a show at a gallery sometime (2012) all the same size would be easier to mount. The "summer" pieces at our last meeting were different sizes but no one worked too big....of course some of us are not finished.
